01.21.08 Telserra appoints industry veteran Shailesh Kotwal to Board of Directors.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ—-(January 21, 2008) – Telserra Global Inc., the company that provides the next generation of electronic transaction processing networks to every last mile, today announced the appointment of Shailesh Kotwal to their corporate Board of Directors. Kotwal was most recently President, International with global payment processor eFunds (NYSE EFD) where he oversaw all aspects of eFunds international operations including strategic direction and growth, global market strategies and international product initiatives.  eFunds was recently acquired by Fidelity National Information Services (NYSE: FIS) for $1.8 billion.

Kotwal joins Telserra with nearly 20 years in the financial services industry.  Prior to eFunds, he was at American Express for 18 years. He was based, most recently, at American Express’ corporate offices in New York as General Manager of the International Insurance Services business, spanning 25 countries. Prior to this role, Mr. Kotwal held various senior management positions at American Express in Asia Pacific and Europe. Mr. Kotwal has wide ranging experience in building world-class businesses in electronic payments, consumer banking, cards, mortgages, insurance, lending and wealth-management.

Kotwal also served on the Board of Directors of several American Express and eFunds subsidiaries. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting.
